Our classroom was created 10 days after the start of the school year because of overcrowding in the five existing 4th-grade classrooms. We didn't really have a lot of seating options to choose from. Over the last several months, I have been able to purchase a couple of flexible seating options for my students, but we are still in need of many more.
By donating to our project, you can help provide students with the ability to choose their own learning space. Flexible seating gives students the ability to get their wiggles out at their desk using the Balance Balls and Wobble Cushions. It also gives them the opportunity to sit on the floor around the room using the Comfy Floor Seats and Soft Seats. And most importantly, it gives them some control in choosing their learning environment. Allowing students to choose their own space makes them more comfortable and helps keep them engaged and focused on learning.
