Hello. I'm Rachel.
I am high special education teacher in the math and science departments.
Not only do I teach a diverse population of students within the classroom during the school day, I am also the school's swim coach and the newly appointed athletic director.
I promote inclusion for all students with diverse abilities in all of our sports programs.
To enhance our swim program, I along with my coaching staff, teach not only competitive swimming but also focus on swim techniques for all the diverse levels of swimmers. Along with our swimming program, we promote healthy living through conditioning as a way of life. Our athletes like to call it, "working out".
Our athletes are true teammates. They assist each other not only in their sport but also with balancing their studies with team responsibilities.
At GW, we may not have the best facilities but we do have the best coaches and students around!
