My energetic bunch loves hands-on, active learning in our classroom. Our creativity flourishes when we can use kinesthetic activities to help us learn. We would grow and develop our critical thinking and problem solving skills by adding a STEM cart to our classroom, filled with intriguing materials for us to explore. First, students will research ideas for STEM projects to create using a Chromebook. Then, they will make their ideas come to life using the STEM cart filled with building materials. Next, students will capture their creations and practice their photography skills using an iPad camera and photo editing apps. Finally, students will be able to proudly display pictures of their works of art in our room using the mobile printer.
Hands-on learning with STEM projects engages us in learning, and practicing photography helps our creative and artistic skills to bloom. I am excited to see my students develop new skills that integrate science and the arts into their typical school day.
