My incredible students are part of the Functional Skills program at my high-school and range in age from 9-12th grade and also Post-High ages 18-22. Each of my students has a moderate to severe disability including autism, Down Syndrome, and Intellectual Disabilities. They come from unbelievably diverse backgrounds. Many of my students are considered "at-risk" and live in high poverty areas. I am very thankful to work with this incredible group of amazing students. My goal is to help them learn functional life skills including community involvement, domestic skills like cooking and cleaning, recreation, exercise and leisure, and communication. I also help them with vocational training so they can find jobs in our community. I have the best job in the world.
