Sadly, over the summer my beloved teaching table was unexpectedly damaged beyond repair. My teaching table is an essential and instrumental part of my classroom. I use it daily to teach small group reading, targeted lessons that focus on meeting the diverse needs of my students. The table itself is horseshoe shaped, which allows me to be surrounded by up to six students at a time. This layout lets me interact efficiently with my small groups. Additionally, I would like to introduce a Fire HD Kindle to my classroom. This device will allow my students-struggling reluctant readers and successful readers alike-the opportunity to interactively practice word work and access a wide variety of quality texts.
Donations to this project will directly impact my students reading lessons and allow them access to independent interactive reading experiences.
