A cubby locker system will help my students with the routines of entering and exiting the classroom. Students will have a place to put their belongings that will have their name on it. This will help them learn their name, personal space and boundaries, as well as provide them with a task to complete upon entering the classroom.
Routines, structure and boundaries support students' learning in academics as well as social-emotional development.
This cubby locker system will allow students to have a safe space for their personal belongings, so they can focus on their learning. It will keep our room clean and organized as well as allow for better communication with parents, as we will have a space to keep student's work and any information that may need to go home on a daily basis.
