How do you get good readers? Let them read, read, read! My students need access to more high interest books that they can read independently at home! I teach in a predominantly low income elementary school, where my students who most need to read don't have access to books they're excited about at home.
Please help me give my students the magic of a good book. Each night, I let my intervention students take home one of my books to read and return. They are so excited to have access to a book they can enjoy on their own time! But, I don't have enough for them. They're such hungry readers and with your help, I can feed their growing minds with the wonder of a new book each night.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity as we embark on our literacy journey.
