In kindergarten, children spend most of their day sitting on the carpet. Each day we start all our learning as a group on the carpet. Here we practice math skills, learn to count, listen to, and tell stories, work collaboratively with a partner, and learn all about science and social studies.
Having a large, bright, and inviting carpet for my students to sit on will make all the difference when practicing social distancing. If they have the new carpet, they will each have their own clearly defined space. I know that they will be excited to come to the carpet each day, ready to learn.
