My classroom is a structured learning environment designed to support students with Autism who are non-verbal or have low language skills. I use a behavioral approach to teaching language, using a variety of research based techniques from the fields of applied behavior analysis, verbal behavior and positive behavior support in order to increase the communication skills of my students and decrease challenging behaviors that limit their access to mainstream classroom and community environments.
