Students in all three of my seventh grade Spanish classes at our urban elementary school responded with enthusiasm and excitement to the idea of creating posters that will look like Facebook pages, and that will be used to share information about themselves in Spanish. They immediately set to work on compiling the list of supplies that we'll need to complete the project!
My students are at a variety of levels with their Spanish, as my classes contain students who are native speakers, heritage speakers, and complete beginners, all of whom come two or three times a week to learn together. This project appeals to them because the familiar and popular format helps them to see that it is approachable from any skill level.
