Our School is small rural school in Oregon serving kindergarten through eighth grade. My students, second and third graders, need many opportunities to learn about the world outside our poor valley and computers can assist in opening views to other cultures and places. They are required to use them for standard testing and other assessments. The more opportunities they have for using computers as learning tools, the more successful they can be in high-stakes testing situations. The students in my room really enjoy working through math problems, reading, creating stories and presentations, and sharing information on the web and in specific software activities. These learning opportunities usually require headsets so that all can work at the same time without being distracted by others' work. This group of students is eager to develop and hone skills. Help us reach our goals.
