These books will allow my students to have an opportunity to experience authentic learning through the original languages of these books. This will also allow them to have a relation to their native countries and have a better understanding of the migration that has happened. For example, Cajas de Cartón- Francisco Jiménez, summarizes a young boys migration into America. Having these books will also help my students in their future years (in high school and college years), when they have to complete a portion of their IB exam in which they are required to know a piece of literature from an authentic Hispanic author.

About my class
