My district is comprised of three elementary schools in California's San Joaquin Valley. We serve a tightly knit community that contains many diverse cultures. Despite cultural differences, there is a sense of unity between the families and district staff. Moreover, the majority of students attending our schools come from a low socioeconomic class. While the majority of students are of Latino descent, there are also a number of other cultures that attend our schools. Despite any disparity, the students are eager, hard working, and incredibly optimistic. Their positive outlook on life is admirable, overshadowed only by their determination to succeed. Families are very active within the district, as there is never a shortage of volunteers, and they can always be counted on for support. Be it food, money, or manpower, our community shows their support any way they can. I truly feel blessed to work alongside others that
