Our future leaders are in my classrooms! There are three books that I believe will change the way each student in my six classes think. The series of The Kid who Ran for President and the Kid who Became President are incredible, engaging ways to educate my middle school students about what it takes to run for president, to vote, how our world is affected but in a silly, fun way about a kid who has a pet parrot named Snot. The Freedom Writers are for my US History kids- they soak up everything I say! I want to show them this movie but I want to read it as a class first so they are motivated to change the world from their "seats" and not feel like they have to wait to be an adult.
