McKinley is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. IB World schools share a commitment to providing students to a high quality, challenging, and international education. We work in collaboration with families and the community to provide quality programming that prepares our students to be confident, principled, lifelong learners who can apply their learning to benefit the world around them and prepare them to be college and/or career ready. In my classroom students embody the IB philosophy as they engage in STEM related lessons. Students learn through collaboration, critical thinking, and utilizing technology, providing each student with a personalized education.
My students face challenges, both in the classroom and in their everyday life, with determination and excitement. My students are very culturally diverse. About 68% of my students come from economically disadvantaged households.
