I work with students who have speech-language delays to ensure that they can communicate their wants and need inside and outside of the classroom. One crucial aspect of working with my students is providing a safe and comfortable space for them to make mistakes and grow!
Our classroom is a positive and enriching environment to a bunch of precious and eager kindergarten through graders! Our school is located in a high poverty and high crime area, so it is important for our classroom to be a safe space for everyone. Despite the trials and tribulations that many of my students endure at home and in their community, they come to school everyday trying their best to learn and grow.
