I teach at a high poverty school. All of our students receive free lunch. They come from mixed social, economic, academic and cultural backgrounds.
My students are full of life and they love learning and accepting the daily challenges of third grade. They enter our classroom every day prepared to learn and willing to do their personal best. They strive to meet the demands of our challenging curriculum. Technology has played a role in helping us to close the achievement gap, but we are in need of more devices.
My SPED students are working diligently to meet their IEP goals. My other students are hard at work learning to cite evidence, analyze passages, and respond to writing prompts.
