During the study of human body systems in 7th grade, students will benefit from the hands-on learning a torso model provides. They need the opportunity to see and touch the organs and organ systems to be able to move the content from abstract to concrete in order to achieve understanding and application.
Because the human torso model is so visually and tactile rich, students will be completely hands-on disassembling and reassembling the model to understand organ functions. Students will be able to handle the various organs and see their locations in relationship to the entire organ system within the body.
