Creating engaging learning opportunities, that students will remember for years, is a great way to build positive bonds between students and their education. In this project, every student will receive a shirt that they will be able to decorate with the different tie dye colors. They will learn how to fold and wrap the shirts to make different designs so that every shirt is unique. We will also talk about the color choices and combinations. After tie-dying the shirts we will take them to have learn about screen printing and print on our shirts. With your generous donation of tie-dye supplies, students will create works of art, utilizing color theory and creativity. Throughout the school year, students have learned to read, write, and compute math problems. Meanwhile, we have embedded art into those subjects. Now that the end of the school year is near, what better way is there to end the year than to create tie-dye shirts that command students to utilize their artistic knowledge, problem solving skills (science,) and embed their own style?
