As a long time music educator and freelance musician I have a deep passion for guitar instruction and performance. It is Chowan Middle School's dream to have our very own guitar club (Rock with Dock)! We have 37 students signed up! We are all ready to start rocking but we are in desperate need of at least 10 guitars to make the club work! My students are continuously asking when the club will begin and I can't wait to give them a solid answer! The passion I see in my students is incredibly inspiring. We are part of an underserved community that would highly benefit from learning the guitar!
