Our project is requesting sensory items help us to modify the amount of sensory input our students receive. Some students are sensitive to loud noises, and others are sensitive to bright lighting. Many students require consistent intervals of movement breaks during academic activity. Materials like the body sock and sensory sand will enhance our students' learning by providing a more sensory rich classroom to help support the curriculum and strategies for self calming. The sensory boxes can be very mobile to allow students to use the materials independently or in a group. The body sock will help us teach our students to self regulate their anxiety.
