My English Language Learners attend a Title I (high poverty) urban school. Most are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch. Many are very recent immigrants or refugees. Many of their families work long hours for little money.
They don't have many of the essentials that many students would take for granted. Some of my families have literally risked their lives to come to this country to offer their children a better future. Can you spare a peso or two to help them get there...
