Each day, we use manipulatives and hands-on activities in our classroom to provide engaging learning experiences for our students at their guided and independent work centers. During centers, students rotate between math, language art, sensory, and fine motor activities designed to target their individual goals and grade-level standards. Some of our focus skills include counting to tell the number of objects in a group (CC.K.4), addition and subtraction (OA.K.1) (OA.1.5), and letter and sound identification (RF.K.2) (RF.1.2). The items selected for this project would expand our collection of center materials and provide an increased variety of activities that would boost student engagement.
