Flexible seating allows students to choose different seating options that will allow them to focus more. Can you imagine sitting still for long periods of time in an uncomfortable seat that doesn't move? That is what my students have to do. I teach a room full of busy little bodies. I would love to be able to give them different options of seating that help their brains work without distractions. At the moment I give my students the opportunity to work in different locations other than their seats. Each student has a clip board and can choose a spot in the room to work. I have noticed that for the most part my students work well when given the opportunity for a little change in seating scenery! The items that I have chosen can be easily moved and would allow my students more options when working in a different spot.
