I teach a self-contained ED (emotional disturbance) primary classroom. This is my third year teaching special education where we have a majority of students who come from low-income communities from around the district. It is my goal to provide emotional stability and academic growth for students in the classroom by implementing relevant instruction and creating a welcoming classroom environment where all students can feel safe and important. Despite the challenges my students face they come to school eager to learn, happy, and ready to tackle any challenges each day may bring. Our classroom community strives to shape students into independent, critical thinking citizens who are involved in their own learning.
