Music is magic! My elementary special education students are grades K to 5, which include students with autism, learning disabilities, low-functioning students, mental retardation and severely emotionally disturbed children. Students are thrilled and engaged with the experiences of learning with music. There are so many entry points to learn using music, singing, instruments, and dance. My students have a broad range of learning levels and learning styles, and music reaches them very deeply and in many different ways.
