My classroom has only one computer in it for teacher use, which I must use for taking roll, my gradebook, projecting presentations, and generally running class. With this grant, I would like to create a student work station in my classroom where students can take turns accessing ELD resources such as Membean, Lingro, Forvo, Google Translate, Google Images, and Newsela. This would become a regular part of our classroom routine. All of my English Learners' educational experiences would be improved because they would all have access to these tech-based tools for learning English, but my most struggling students' learning would be most improved, because when one of these struggling students fails to turn in an essay or project, I would be able to sit them down with the laptop within the class period so they could do the work right then and there and I could help them if they needed it.
