I teach 7th through 12th grade mathematics in a rural high-needs school. Many of my students do not have access to technology unless they are at school. The more I can expose these students to technology, the better off they will be when they reach post secondary life, including college. My course load includes 8th Grade Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Trigonometry, along technology based classes such as remedial or recovery math. My college class load is Introductory and Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. Research has shown that music activates areas in the brain that help students to understand mathematics. It is my pleasure to help ensure that our music program is healthy and that our students can employ technology through their music program.
