My students are children of poverty. They have never owned, opened, or been inspired by books and the magic of story telling. I would like to offer them this magic that will transform their ideas and understanding of learning and success. These books will take them on an adventure beyond the pages to the endless opportunities that await them at the end of the book. My hope is that these engaging, relatable, and exciting books will spark a love of learning and a desire for academic success. My kids are from families of English language learners. Most have never owned or opened a book. I want to offer them the opportunity to discover the love of books that will be the stepping stone for future success.
