Who are they? My students demographic is Black 75%, Hispanic 15 %, White 6%, Asian 2 %, American Indian/Alaska Native 1%, Filipino 1%. and the total student population is 1,247. A large percentage of students are classified as at risk and live in a large urban center in California. What are they like? Students are creative, intelligent and motivated to perform at a high standard of proficiency. My students would benefit if they had Art supplies such as Pottery Clay for my ceramics classes. charcoal, drawing pencils and newsprint, for my drawing class, and paint, Canvas and Stretchers for my painting class. What kind of school do they attend? Students attend a newly created Enriched Sciences Magnet High School, which is a dynamic and vibrant Environmental, Health oriented institution.
