I teach in a Title 1 public middle school in Tennessee that serves 6th-8th grades. Our school is rich in diversity; cultural, economic and academic. I teach art to approximately 300 students per year that range from gifted to special needs. Many of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, it is not feasible for me to ask students to buy art materials. Despite this set back, my students are very creative and inspire me everyday.
