I would like to get interactive globes for my students to use to aid in learning Social Studies/Geography. Unfortunately, many of them have not been outside of the area they live in. They are always interested to hear about my travel experiences and to view photos I show them about different places I have been.
Using interactive globes will help them achieve learning goals more autonomously. My students get excited when we use the class maps. They're eager to learn information about different states and countries. I believe interactive globes will excite them and help them in learning about geography as well as about different cultures.
Working with these interactive globes, students can work in two groups of six to complete geography lessons. Each student will have a task that can be researched and answered by the globe. As a group, they will combine their information to create Geography fact books. I know that my students will have fun working together with these globes and learn important and interesting facts at the same time.
