These books will help my students learn about all different topics. My students are in their beginning stages of learning to read, so I feel the need to read to them often as well as let them read independently. The books I have chosen are about holidays, character education, and fun. Most of my students are not read to at home. They do not have access to books at home.
With these new books, they will be able to learn about new topics as well as instill a love to read. I hope to use the seasonal books, for example, “The Night Before Christmas” and “Thanksgiving Is..” to teach about holidays. “The Dot” and “Beautiful Oops!” will help me teach the importance of having the right mindset.
These books will be displayed after they are read aloud so the students can have access to them.
