Due to a diagnosis of low functioning autism my students struggle to interact with others. Therefore they need intensive teaching and experiences in learning how to make friends and be part of a community. This table will give my students better access to activities and be able to more easily engage in social interactions. It is essential that they learn how to work with others and be part of a group. This furniture also allows for staff members to better help students and ensure that they become independent members of the community. We can't wait to start completing activities on our new table!

About my class
