My students are 5 and 6 years old and LOVE learning. The sky is the limit for my students, as they have vivid imaginations. At the beginning of the year, many of my students are only able to recognize a few letters and sounds. However, my goal is to have fluent readers by the end of kindergarten. Using various types of literature keeps my students engaged and wanting to learn more. Our school often has great incentives to motivate our students to read. My school is a Title I school, in which at least 50% of the students receive free or reduced priced lunch. This is why your assistance would be so valuable.
