My students are an energetic, hard working group of 5th graders. They enjoy coming to school every day! My students often face difficulties socially, as well as, at home. 96% of my students are from low-income households and often times they come to school with a desire to read, but many of them do not have books at home. Parents work hard to try to provide for their basic needs and books are often overlooked as a necessity.
