Even though school assignments call for greater technology integration, some students do not have the resources to keep-up. Our school also lacks these resources. Without access, students in low-income communities can fall behind wealthy peers. We need consistent, fair technology access for all students. I am working to build a class set of tablets to allow my students to complete many of the online assignments, as well as interactive support activities, designed to improve their learning! The Fire tablets will be used to interact with school-approved websites, like Google Classroom, over the school's secure internet. All students will be able to grasp literacy concepts, with instant feedback, in a safe environment. They can also submit work online and save precious trees. Some tablets have already been purchased, but we need them all protected, too. Every tablet and protective case will help progress student achievement. Please help our class go one-to-one!
