My students will use the printer daily, since many of them are from single parent household and live below the poverty line. Buying a printer is not at the top of their must have list. This makes it extremely difficult on our students, as most assignments must be typed and printed.
Not having access to a printer provides additional challenges for our future readers, writers, mathematicians and scientist and we spend most of our class time copying notes instead of engaging in activities.
As a title I school we do not have the funds to provide a printer that All students would have access to. It is essential that our students have their learning time maximum and fully supported so they can be successful.
