Our beautiful new building opened in February of 2009. In 2010, we opened the fifth grade pre-magnet program to gifted and high achieving students, offering a rigorous curriculum in order to help them transition to middle school more comfortably. I work with 50 students, teaching math and science. In order to help students transition successfully, my goal is to offer a student centered environment where they are able to take ownership of their learning by making choices about where and how they learn content. We utilize a blended learning approach, where students have opportunities to work in a variety of settings (collaborative, independent, small groups, etc.)
About my class
