My students are from South Carolina. Our school is a Title I school which means that more than half of our student population has been considered low income. 100% of the students at my school receive free and reduced-price lunches.
Although all of my students and their parents would love to help provide school supplies and resources, they are financially unable to do so. Some of my students spend their time outside of school watching brothers and sisters and taking on adult roles that no child should have to do at 9 years old.
