Welcome to my page! I am a special education teacher in a high-poverty school in an urban area of Illinois. I believe it takes a community to raise a child. I am proud to be a part of the educational community and feel a responsibility to shape my students into successful learners and social thinkers. An educated mind includes literacy, critical thinking, and computational abilities along with creative thought, social acceptance, and respect for differences. Preparing a generation of youth to enter the world as fully developed responsible citizens, is a task not taken lightly. I am invested in each child’s development and future.
