LNE has started a new specialist area known as Technology/STEM where students will learn computer skills to use through researching and creating projects for STEM. My Technology/STEM students currently can only work with one other student who is sitting beside them. My goal is to do more group projects with them so that they are working with 3-4 students at a time. The new computer furniture will allow students to work together on the computers and STEM projects in the classroom as they are designed to be circular. Students will be in groups and closer together so that they can communicate and work together. The new furniture will also assist with the amount of space there is in the room for STEM activities.
