I teach at a low-income school district. Our area was devastated by the flooding Hurricane Harvey left behind. Since then we have had to endure Hurricanes Imelda and Delta too; and not to mention the COVID-19 pandemic. Even with these obstacles my students walk into my classroom everyday excited, ready, and eager to learn. My class is very diverse and many of my students are English Language Learners.
