I am requesting resources in order to build a sensory room, within our classroom, for students who need a quiet space to decompress or sensory process. The requested materials include: bounce balls, sit ‘n spin, mini trampoline, and platform swing.
These materials will be set up in a special corner or space within the classroom and children with sensory needs or behavior issues will be able to go to the corner and decompress or sensory process. Students will use bouncy ball when they have a hard time sitting still. Sit n' spin will be used when student becomes anxious. The mini trampoline will be used for students who need sensory input. It will be a positive space for the students to feel safe and it will help them take charge of their bodies and their environment.
