Our classroom needs a community rug to sit on. In 3rd grade, students do not like to sit on the floor because it is uncomfortable. Having a rug in the classroom would encourage students to sit on the floor, especially for reading and math Number Corner. Right now, we are just sitting for Number Corner directly on the floor. We also have morning check in each day, currently this is done from chairs around the room, but it would be great if we could all sit together. A rug would also be a great addition to our alternate seating arrangement that we are building in our classroom.
