I teach prekindergarten children in a city public school. My children are young 3's, 4's and 5 years of age. For most of my students, this is their first experience in a school environment. Prekindergarten is very important for children because it is the foundation of their academic life. These years are crucial since it will give the child the opportunities to explore, investigate and learn while they play.
