My goal this year is to teach my kindergartners the basic skills they need in order to continue succeeding in school. They require a lot of one on one assistance to complete most tasks. They struggle with fine motor skills and having tweezers to grasps objects can help them with this skill. Dress-up will help them with career planning and dressing skills. They are little and with the use of a fun wardrobe, they will feel as if they are playing and not working. The dinosaurs, balls, and cars will be used as manipulatives for counting and also to reinforce good behavior. Puppets will be used to teach them social skills. I will also use them to make teaching the alphabet fun. The alphabet sound puzzles will provide visual learning for my students to learn letters and sounds. I'm looking forward to using these materials in my classroom this year!
