In a combined classroom setting, it is sometimes difficult to give students much needed one-on-one attention. I am confident a set of 5 Chromebooks with a charging cabinet would be an vital tool within my classroom. By incorporating the use of Chromebooks, students will have the opportunity to effectively work independently while I work with other students in small groups.
Chromebooks in the classroom will allow all of the students to be actively engaged while blending technology and education. Students can be working on different projects and goals at the same time based on their own learning levels. The technology available not only keeps the students excited about learning, but it is highly interactive and adaptive to each individual student. Among other things, my student will be using these for reading, improving their math skills, writing assignments and research. The students will also be more proficient in their typing and technology skills which is not only essential for state standardized testing now, but will be a skill necessary throughout their education and life.
