My girls are my world! I have a class full of 22 energetic 8-year-old girls and they bring excitement to the classroom every day. They work together as friends, as a community of learners, and are the best "teacher helpers" a teacher could ask for. They use the limited resources they have for their classwork, and they do not complain or ask for more. They enter and leave the classroom every day with a smile and hug for me. I want nothing more than to give them all the resources they need for their academic success. I want them to find pleasure and joy from reading and math, not dread another worksheet. At their age, they should be presented with multiple genres of literature and a wide range of differentiated resources to help build knowledge in content and spark the interests they need to build fluency.
