Just this morning, 43 students were chosen as representatives for the Students of the Month and waited with excitement to choose a book from our "Rocket Readbox." These students show leadership skills in respect, responsibility, safety presence, and kindness.
As an educator and behavioral coach at a low income/high needs school, rewarding our Students of the Week with books has shown to be a positive experience to help them grow into leaders and foster a love of reading. Just recently, our school constructed a "Rocket Readbox" that houses books for students who earn this award. We need to restock our "Readbox” with book titles that will continue to motivate students to be leaders. These books will not only be an award for leadership skills but will also continue to ignite and support a love for reading for our students. With respect, value and love, learning is our mission.
